Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-09

This policy describes what GoodySearch collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum we need to run the app, we don’t sell your data, and you can delete your account at any time.

What we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we store your email address (or Apple Sign-In identifier) and a display name you choose. If you set a notification phone or email separate from your login, we store those too.

Location. When you use the Explore or Plan Ahead views, the app sends your current GPS coordinates (or a coordinate you tap on the map) to our servers so we can return events near that point. We do not store your location history; coordinates are used to answer the request and then discarded from our application logs.

Usage data. We log which features you use (e.g. when you open Explore, when you go live as an organizer) for the purposes of running the service, fixing bugs, and understanding aggregate usage.

Content you create. If you’re an organizer, the events, offerings, and contact information you publish are stored on our servers and shown to seekers.

What we don’t collect

Who we share data with

We do not share your data with anyone else.

Your choices

International users

GoodySearch is available in countries around the world. Wherever you are, the policy above applies. EU/UK users have additional rights under GDPR/UK-GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection); to exercise any of these, email privacy@goodysearch.com.

Children

GoodySearch is intended for users 13 and older. We don’t knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, email privacy@goodysearch.com and we’ll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the “last updated” date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
